I found these blue containers at Hobby Lobby on sale. Students have their own supplies at their desks, but if they lose them (which seems to happen a lot!), they come here to replenish. Bonus- it looks cute, too!

Organization Tip for Supplies!
Lowe's or Home Depot have these storage containers for nuts, bolts, etc. I put school supplies in there. Highlighters, Vis-a-Vis pens, glue sticks, push pins, you name it! I have three of these- each have different configurations. They are labeled with chalkboard labels. I wrote on them with vibrant chalk markers. (Bistro brand are best I have found.)

Puppy Theme

My classroom design was inspired by Schoolgirlstyle.com. I purchased the templates for the dogs, put them under the projector and traced. Easy! I then went to JoAnn's and found my way into the ribbon aisle. I found some really cute little pieces that I used for collars for the dogs. I will post a picture of these soon. The tree in the center of the whiteboard was from the teacher's store. I just put magnets underneath it and wha-la! The grass at the bottom of the fence is border. Some of the kids have pulled at it, so I need to re-staple areas. The dogs are in various places in the classroom. The kids absolutely love this theme, and have named all of the dogs. :)

Sit Spots

Love Sit Spots! The little dots you see on the floor are called Sit Spots. They are velcro. My first thought was...oh my gosh. The kids are going to be pulling them up all day and that will drive me nuts. NOT the case! These stay put, and are easy enough for you to remove, but too difficult for little hands to pull up. These have been awesome. www.sitspots.com
