I am adding a new classroom decor theme to my TpT store -- burlap and wood. I recently redecorated my classroom in this theme, because it reminds me of all things Chip and Joanna Gains. Rustic Farmhouse style...calming and soothing. While I loved my previous classroom themes, this one just makes me happy. I spend a lot of time in my classroom, and I want it to feel comfortable and "homey". My color scheme is mint green and navy. Once my classroom is finished being set up for the upcoming school year, I will add lots of pics! For now, I will be adding more in this decor category in the upcoming weeks. You can find this class set of rules here. As always, thank you for following me!

Hi, friends! Just added to my Teachers Pay Teachers store #dollardeals! Ok, so I'm going to be real for a minute here. Last year, I had a teacher toolbox with brag tags for several different occasions. Each student had their own necklace, and they would add to it throughout the school year. While it is a great idea, it got to be a lot more than I bargained for. I couldn't remember who got which one, where they were keeping them (some put them on their backpack zippers, some used as necklaces, and some just liked keeping them in their pencil boxes). I loved the idea, and the kids loved getting them. What can I do to use them and not have the upkeep of it all? As I was strolling through the Target Dollar Spot, I found these blank little booklets in sets of 8. They were only $3 for a pack. As I picked one up, I wondered to myself what I could do with them. Then it hit me- brag tags! How will I do it, you ask? Well, there are several ways it can be done. I decided to print my brag tags out on sticker paper (ordered from Amazon.com) and cut them out. I will store them just as I did before, in my teacher toolbox specifically made for my brag tags. When a student receives one, they will just stick it into one of their pages. I decided I would dedicate specific pages for different achievements: while one might be fore reading goals, another page might be for growth mindset, or responsibility. Then there will be blank pages for them to put miscellaneous brag tag stickers. Other ways you could use this: print out on plain paper, cut them out and students will glue them into their book. Even easier! What if I already have my brag tags printed and laminated already? Have them glue them in as they are.
How I assembled the covers: I simply printed and cut around the border. Then I used a tape runner (permanent glue dots) to adhere. You could also laminate for durability. I have included 10 different designs, so most people should be able to find one or more that they like. I decided to mix it up and use them all.

Organizing Task Cards

Hello!
I just finished a big project! I purchased math task cards for all Common Core math standards. After I printed, laminated and cut them all out, I made labels for each box. Each of the little boxes has their own standard printed on the label (Avery Astrobrights 4330). This will be my regular "on level" box. My next project will be a challenge box and a remediation box. These boxes are so very important to my every day math small group instruction. Since I keep a tracking sheet on which standards need improving by each student, I can easily pull the corresponding box and re-teach, review, or even give as independent practice. Since the cards are laminated, students just use a whiteboard marker and erase each card when they are finished with it. If I am giving a box to a parent volunteer or for independent practice, I will give them the recording sheets to use. Then either myself or the student can check answers. The answer key will be inside of a manila envelope taped to the inside top of the box. Below are a couple of pictures so you can see how I labeled them.
